Fast response, right equipment makes ‘bad day’ a little better.

The clock is ticking when it comes to water removal

Nothing says, “You’re about to have a bad day,” like finding a burst water pipe. According to research conducted on insurance claims, the annual cost of water removal and damage in the United States is 13 billion dollars? Winter weather, corrosion, or a combination of both are a recipe for disaster on older plumbing systems in homes and commercial buildings. As if damage and excess water aren’t bad enough, time is of the essence when it comes to cleanup efforts. If not treated correctly, dangerous mold can begin to populate and may create structural issues within just a few days of an incident, depending on the building.

Challenge: A Cleveland-based water, fire, and mold restoration company called on Temperature Control Rental Services to assist with the dehumidification process from a 4-inch burst pipe on the 3rd floor of a three-story commercial building. Due to the scale of the incident, heavier equipment was required to remove the moisture as quickly as possible so they could assess the damage and begin a plan for reparations.

Solution: TCRS launched into action delivering three 5000 CFM Desiccant dehumidifiers as well as generators to power the equipment within 24 hours of receiving the request. Along with TCRS’ fast-acting service, our dehumidifiers are featured with touch screen control, temperature and airflow monitors as well as a VFD automatically controlled fans. This gave our customers precision and control in the moisture removal process so they could quickly and seamlessly dry the building and focus on the next step in the restoration process.
